This brass brooch has a beautiful irregular surface born from firing the brass to the point where the copper and zinc (the elements of brass) have started to separate. It resembles a tree branch, or maybe some sort of a bow or musical instrument built out of tree branches. Silver chain adds it's own charm to the whole. It is definitely not a conventional piece of jewellery.
The overall impression of the fired brass is golden, hence the name Fool's Gold.
They say we shouldn't mix metals in jewelry. We don't listen to them.
Brooches could be coming back. They are actually a very versatile type of jewellery. You can wear brooches on the lapel of your coat, like they are traditionally worn, or some totally different new way. You could gather your shirt in an imaginative way with a brooch or wear it on your sock.
This brass brooch is handmade and will take up to 14 days to produce. Small irregularity is in its nature.
Materials: brass, sterling silver, steel pin
